Social Studies at School #19
InquirED inquiries is the primary resource used in elementary social studies classrooms. Consistent implementation of high-quality instructional materials is the first step toward ensuring every student's success. It is expected that schools and classrooms use the following materials as the foundations of classroom instruction in our K-6 classrooms:
Elementary social studies instruction should primarily use InquirED inquiries, supported by additional resources such as the Antiracist Curriculum Project units—including Identity and Our Community (featuring the Constance Mitchell story), Redlining and Resistance in Rochester (Grade 4), Enslavement and Resistance in New York State (Grade 4), and Puerto Rican Civil Rights in Rochester (Grade 5)—as well as the C3 Inquiry Toolkit and Junior Achievement.
